Workshop: World Interiors Day’s celebration at the Asian Paints Colour Store, Delhi

For to be Happy in Life, choose Self the Colours of Life – Jan Jansen
This famous quote is well enough to explain why colours are important in our life, and what’s better than getting to know how to draw inspiration from homes and office spaces designed in popular films from renowned Film Production Designer, Shruti Gupte
On the occasion of ‘World Interiors Day’, Asian Paints’ signature store, Colour Store located in Delhi organised a unique movies-inspired workshop on interiors for consumers. The aim of Asian Paints to set up the Colour Store in CP is to educate interior décor enthusiasts & consumers on colours and designs and how it can change their space.
Shruti Gupte is quite famous for films such as ‘Taare Zameen Par’, ‘Aisha’, ‘Khoobsurat’, ‘Lunch Box’ and others, for her work in designing homes and interior spaces. I must say she really has a great understanding of the style and sensibilities of the modern-day consumers. Her work in these movies is worth watching. She has the ability to connect colors with character’s personality.
Speaking at the workshop, Production Designer Shruti Gupte shared, “We as consumers need to make ourselves the heroes and heroines of our own movie scripts. Colors and textures are not to be feared but embraced as part of our personality. Our personal and professional environments are an extension of our personality and should inspire our days, help create memories or convey our aspirations. If the movies take inspiration from our reality, then why shouldn’t we allow those reel-ties to become our reality? It’s a simple decision to step out of our comfort zone and experiment. Especially these days, when Asian Paints Color Store allows us to realize our dreams before we choose to make it permanent.”
The occasion was also enlighted by the presence of Amit Syngle, President-Sales, Marketing & Technology, Asian Paints Ltd., he added “From sharing insights on how to choose the right colour to offer firsthand experience through interesting DIY activities, we have always strived to engage consumers on painting and décor through events and activities at the Colour Store.”
People who love playing with colors and wish to have more insight on various design can reach out to the  Asian Paints color store in CP, Delhi and join such events and workshops in future.
