Movies That Prove Nivin Pauly Is An Actor Par Excellence

Versatility is something that can only be mastered with years of experience, but that is not the case with this upcoming legend from the Malayalam Industry Nivin Pauly. With time, Nivin has grown as an actor. This is very evident from his movies’ box-office collections. His consistent hits in the Malayalam Industry paved the way for his debut in the Kollywood. Now the actor is all set to debut in the Hindi Industry with his upcoming Bilingual movie Moothon. So, as the excitement for his Bollywood debut increases, we are counting down some of the best movies where Nivin Pauly proved that he is an actor par excellence.

Hey Jude: Looking at him in Hey Jude, his latest movie, we surely feel Nivin Pauly has come a long way since his debut with Malarvaadi Arts Club. Also, in Hey Jude, the actor shares the screen with one of the leading actresses of the Tamil industry Trisha for the first time. The movie is about Jude Rodriguez (Nivin) and Crystal Ann (Trisha) who fall in love with each other and rediscover themselves. People think his performance was on par with his other romantic flick Premam and Ohm Shanthi Oshaana.

Neram: We were not surprised to see Nivin take that lead’s seat in this 2013 movie that was made in Tamil and Malayalam at the same time. This movie shows us that when life hits you, it hits you hard and you can either cry about it or stand up and ask it take another swing at you. You will feel for him every time fate messes with him. It was not surprising that girls just fell in love with him after this movie. The movie was called as a gem in Tamil cinema and both the lead Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim won Filmfare Award for the Best Debut category.

Premam: This movie spoke to an entire generation and that too in more ways than one. This 2015 Malayalam movie became a super hit for all the right reasons. Premam shows us how a guy named George falls in love at different stages of his life and cope up with the heartbreaks every time before meeting ‘The One’. All the actors nailed their roles. Nivin was able to pull off each stage of George’s life in the most flawless way possible. From a younger man who doesn’t have the guts to reveal his love to the matured man who finally meets ‘The One’, we can’t think of anyone who could have done it better.

Bangalore Days: Nivin definitely the one who stood out with his character in this wonderful movie despite having to share the screen with some great actors like Fahadh Faasil, Nazriya Nazim and Dulquer Salmaan. His character Kuttan is a naive yet adorable guy who is forced to move into a metro city (Bangalore) to earn money. From his constant urge to go back to his remote village to his transformation after shifting to Bangalore, his performance in Bangalore Days was nothing short of exceptional.

Action Hero Biju: This movie had a different take on cop movies and Nivin surprised everyone with his nuanced performance. Unlike most cop movies where a cop chases down his arch nemesis, this movie shows us how a cop tackles regular problems that take every day in his jurisdiction. Inspector Biji is a cop who brings a strong sense of realism to the cop drama genre, and we should applaud Nivin for taking up this role and also for being the producer of this wonderful movie.

These are just some of the best roles that Nivin has done in his career until now. His passion for offering good movies to the audience is something that we respect and adore. So, until Moothon hits the theaters, these movies should be on your watchlist.
