Are you a food lover? Do you love music? Then you must have heard of ‘HORN OK PLEASE’. From 9th to 11th march Delhi witnessed the one of its kind food truck festival at Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium.
The event was a feast for eyes as well as your tummy. All of the best food trucks from all over Delhi and NCR gathered to give us a taste of the national and international food. There were over 40 truck brands and over 30 food and beverage stalls combined with music and live performances by homegrown bands. What could be a better combination than food and music?
The festival also included a Flea market which showcased various items such as mugs, posters, t-shirts, handbags, picture frames all by various start-ups that too at an affordable price. The fest included fast food trucks where you could have a variety of burgers, pizzas, wrapped-rolls, all of them so mouth-watering that you cannot resist yourself from trying each one of them. Then for all the sweet tooth out there, the food festival had its dessert stalls as well.
From waffles to candies and ice-cream, there was too much sweetness in the air. The stalls had their own unique ideas, concepts and recipes. Then the non-vegetarians were not left behind. The festival had kebabs, tikkas, Arabic and Lebanese food, pork and beef. The best and the most eye-catchy was the concepts and the name of the food carts. Names such as The rolling stoned, The Doggy style, Goosebumps, Bhookhbox were enough to attract you towards these food stalls.
The music was just as amazing as the food was. There were performances by homegrown bands which were playing amazing songs. So you can imagine that you are eating delicious food and at the same time the bands are playing your favorite songs. Overall it was an amazing experience the people of Delhi cannot wait for the food festival to come back. It had its impact when it came in 2017 and now came back with a bang in 2018. Hope it comes back in the coming years with some extra fun, food and music.
