Today, Honda has launched the much awaited Fifth Generation CR-V in India. The new CR-V was first introduced in India during the Indian Auto Expo in February this year. Apart from the new style in the new CR-V, a bigger update has been given as a diesel engine. This is the first time when the diesel engine option has been given in the CR-V with a 7-seat layout.
Speaking of Honda’s new CR-V, it has been given all-wheel drive, Panoramic sunroof, LED DRLs and headlamps and LED Tail Lamps. Segment-first full-size driver information interface and advanced safety equipment are also provided with piano black and wood finishing in the new CR-V’s center console. Talking about the other features in the new car, it has a 7-inch touchscreen input system, torque distribution display, and dual-zone climate control with Driver Attention Monitor.
Apart from this, talk about its interior, there is a frameless touchscreen unit in the center console and customers will be able to see soft-plastic plastic in the dashboard. Also, the third seating row for Extra Passengers is also given here. Folds can also be used to increase the boot space. In addition, new bumper bumpers, new fog lamps and a large bumper grill have been given in the new car.
Speaking mechanically, the 2.0-liter SOHC i-VTEC petrol engine is given in CR-V. This engine generates 154bhp power and 189Nm pick torque. This petrol engine has been connected with CVT automatic transmission. At the same time, in its diesel variants, customers will get the 1.6-liter DOHC i-DTEC diesel engine from Honda’s ‘Dream Dreams’ engine family. This engine generates 120bhp power and 300Nm pick torque. This engine has been connected with 9-speed automatic transmission.
According to Honda, the diesel engine will be available in both AWD and 2WD variants. Their fuel efficiency will be 18.3 kmpl and 19.5 kmpl respectively. The petrol engine will be available only in 2WD variants and its fuel efficiency will be 14.4 kmpl.
If you talk about the safety features in this new car, then 2018 Honda CR-V has Vehicle Stability Assistant with 6-Airbag, Driver Attention Monitor, Honda Lanevoch, Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Agile Handling Assist is. Now the most important thing is that the price of petrol 2WD was priced at Rs 28.18 lakh (ex-showroom), diesel 2WD worth Rs 30.65 lakh (ex-showroom) and diesel 4WD worth 32.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
