Detoxification is a funny word, not in the literal sense but we somehow tend to talk about it or remember only after indulging in a lot of gluttony. So now that the party is over (Diwali, Bhai duj and everything in between) I am sure it is high time that you need to give your mind some rest and your body some detoxification. A small warning before we proceed, The recipes that I am about to share with you are super healthy, tasty and addictive apart from being highly detoxicating. So let’s get to the point.

For every detox water recipe below, the preparation steps are pretty much the same:

A. Drop ingredients in the bottom of a pitcher or fruit infuser bottle.
B. Cover with ice about 1/2 way through then fill to top with water. Place in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
C. You can refill the container 2-3 times before it begins to lose flavor.

1. Cool Cucumber Detox Water


If you are planning to shed off those extra kilos that you gained over the long weekend, then this is probably the easiest and the most effective detox water recipe. The mellow tasting mixed with the tanginess of the lemon and the sweetness of grapefruit is the perfect detox water to refresh you.


• ½ gallon purified water
• ½ lemon, sliced
• ½ lime, sliced
• ½ grapefruit, sliced
• 1 cup cucumber, sliced

This blissful Apple and Cinnamon detox water is surely dreamy in taste apart from being super healthy. The phytonutrients and antioxidants in apples may help reduce the risk of developing cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease


• 1 Apple thinly sliced, I like Fuji but pick your favorite. Cut away the seeds.
• 1 Cinnamon Stick. I don’t recommend using powdered cinnamon, it clogs the water.
